Terms & conditions.
Last updated: 14 July 2026. The short version: we build you a good website, you review it before it goes live, and we look after it afterwards. The detail is below.
1. Definitions
"Creoweb" means Tom Dyre, trading as Creoweb, sole trader. "Client" means the person or business engaging Creoweb. "Build Fee" means the one-off payment for designing and launching a website. "Retainer" or "Care Plan" means the recurring monthly payment covering hosting, updates and support. "the Service" means any website design, build, hosting, maintenance or related work provided by Creoweb.
2. Scope of services
Creoweb provides website design and build services, along with ongoing hosting and maintenance retainers (Care Plans), for local trades and small businesses. The exact scope for a project is agreed at booking and confirmed before work begins.
3. Quotes, fees & payment
Quotes are estimates based on the information provided and may be adjusted if the scope changes. Build Fees are typically due as a deposit before work begins, with the balance due at or before launch, as agreed at booking. Monthly Care Plans are billed in advance. Late payments may result in work or hosting being paused until settled.
4. Project timeline & client responsibilities
Timelines depend on the Client providing content, feedback and approvals promptly. Delays on the Client's side may extend the delivery date accordingly.
5. Revisions
Each package includes a reasonable number of revision rounds during the design and build phase, agreed at booking. Changes requested after launch are covered under the Care Plan or Care Plan Upgrade, as applicable.
6. Intellectual property & ownership
Once the Build Fee is paid in full, ownership of the final website (design and code produced for the Client) transfers to the Client. Any third-party assets used, such as stock photography or licensed fonts, remain subject to their own licence terms and may not always be freely transferable; Creoweb will advise where this applies.
7. Domain names & hosting
Domain names are registered in the Client's own name and remain the Client's property throughout. If a Client leaves a Care Plan, hosting for the site can be transferred to a provider of the Client's choosing; a reasonable handover period applies.
8. Care Plan / retainer terms
Care Plans cover hosting, backups, security updates and small ongoing changes as described in the relevant package. There's no lock-in contract; either party may cancel with reasonable notice.
9. Cancellation & refunds
Care Plans can be cancelled at any time with notice as above. Build Fee deposits are non-refundable once design work has started, reflecting time already committed; any unearned balance for work not yet carried out will be refunded.
10. No guarantee of results
Creoweb builds websites to a high standard and applies good SEO practice, but does not guarantee specific business outcomes such as search rankings, leads or sales, these depend on many factors outside our control.
11. Limitation of liability
Creoweb's liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the fees paid by the Client for the specific work in question. Creoweb is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits or business.
12. Client review & accuracy of content
Every website built by Creoweb is shared with the Client for review before it goes live, and the Client is responsible for checking that all content, pricing, contact details and other information are correct before launch. Creoweb is not liable for incorrect, outdated or inaccurate information on a live site where the Client has approved that content and not requested a change.
13. Indemnity
The Client agrees to indemnify Creoweb against claims arising from content, images or material the Client supplies for use on their website, including any third-party rights issues with that material.
14. Confidentiality
Creoweb treats information shared by the Client as confidential and won't disclose it to third parties except where needed to deliver the Service (for example, to payment or form processors) or as required by law.
15. Data protection
Personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
16. Third-party services
Creoweb uses third-party services to help deliver the Service, including Web3Forms (contact form processing), Stripe (payments) and a hosting provider. These providers' own terms and policies also apply to their part of the Service.
17. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including illness, power or internet outages, or third-party service failures.
18. Portfolio use
Creoweb may feature completed work in its portfolio and marketing materials unless the Client opts out in writing.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
